Killarney Cast Iron Garden Bench

The Killarney Garden Bench is contructed in the traditional way from cast iron and hardwood. It shouldn't be confused with the lightweight 'look-alikes' which abound. The castings are heavier than most, finely detailed and painstakingly finished. The cast iron parts are finished in Antique Bronze. The hardwood is from well managed forests, and to make it longer lasting, the timber is slowly kiln dried and then oiled. Warranty: 1 year(s). Capacity: 2 people. Dimensions:: 120W x 74H x 52 cm. I bought this about three months ago. Five days to deliver, easy to assemble and looks good: more muted than the web photo. The cast iron detail is precise with no sharp edges. It is comfortable to sit on without cushions but you do lean back a bit. The finish seems as if it will last. On the rear there are some obtrusive bright steel fasteners - try a touch of black paint or put it against a wall. (Posted on 8/11/11)

Arrived damaged, packaging not sufficient and looks like courier chucked it about a fair bit , good customer service though, part replaced promptly. (Posted on 7/13/11)
